How do i change the font size for .a$$ subtitle files playing on a .mkv video files?

I'm using VLC Player (because i can't even get the subs to show on Media Player). I don't like the size/font of the subtitle that appears on the video. is there a way to change the size and/or font?



P.S. i know the files aren't named 'a$$' but i'm hoping you understand what i mean because i can't say *** :P
