How do I change the size of the Font on My PC?

I just bought a new computer and I can't seem to change the size of the font on my Web Browser, Internet Explorer (large) I want it smaller. I went to view/text size and made smaller but that only changes the font in the web pages. I want to chage the size of the font on my toolbars up at the top of my screen. I also went to control panel/ appearence and themes and changed that setting to smaller but it didn't work. How do I change the size of the Font on My PC?
There are two approaches.

1. Your screen setting is set at 800 X 600.

Change that to 1024 X 738

Do this in the Control Panel - Desktop - Settings tab

2. When you are in Internet Explorer, go to the VIEW menu and pick TEXT size. This will change the size of the font on websites that do not use Style Sheets. To change webpages that use STYLE SHEETS, you might try go to TOOLS and picking Internet Options. Then click on ACCESSIBILITY. You will see some options to IGNOR various things that websites set.How do I change the size of the Font on My PC?
Hold down the CTRL key and roll your mouse wheel.

You can adjust the font to any size you like.
right click on your desktop (the wallpaper/open space with icons)

click properties

click the tab at the top name 'appearance'

the third row, change the font size to normal.

if its already normal, then it click the advanced button.

click on what you want to change in the picture, and change the font size.

should work.
